“My wife and I recently embarked on an unforgettable 7-day road trip, covering nearly 2000 km through some of South India’s most beautiful and culturally rich destinations. Starting and ending in Calicut, this journey took us through bustling cities, temple towns, and breathtaking coastal roads—each turn adding to the adventure. And through it all, our Škoda Slavia proved to be the perfect companion. With a boot full of luggage, the car delivered an effortless, thrilling drive, making every mile an experience to cherish.
From Calicut, we headed to Bangalore, enjoying smooth highways before venturing into the heritage-rich towns of Srirangam, Thanjavur, and Kumbakonam, where history and spirituality blended seamlessly. The journey through Chettinad and Karaikudi brought a glimpse of timeless architecture and incredible local cuisine.
The coastal stretch to Rameswaram and Dhanushkodi was surreal—driving on endless open roads with the ocean on both sides was a moment to remember.
Our next stop, Madurai, captivated us with its vibrant energy and the magnificent Meenakshi Temple. From there, we drove towards Palakkad, enjoying Kerala’s lush landscapes before finally returning to Calicut, bringing our incredible journey to a full circle.
Through long highways, winding roads, and bustling cityscapes, the Škoda Slavia made the drive just as enjoyable as the destinations. More than just a road trip, this journey was about exploring new places, creating lifelong memories with my wife, and rediscovering the pure joy of driving. Seven days, 2000 km, and an experience we will cherish forever”.
